Each cart has a VCR/DVD combo player. This player allows you to play either a VHS cassette, a DVD or CD for the class to see and hear. Operation is just like any VCR or DVD player. Slide the VHS cassette into the slot on the left hand side of the player or slip the DVD or CD into the right hand tray. The player should play most DVD's or CD's but certain homemade CD's or DVD's may not work. Always test before use.
On the front of the player are the usual Play, Stop, Pause, FF or Rew buttons. The VCR side has a record button. On the DVD side are just Play and Stop buttons. Tracking buttons can be found in the middle. The remote control contains more buttons and should be kept somewhere safe in case it gets lost. Certain functions may not be usable if that is the case.
Also located in the middle is the VCR/DVD button. Pressing this button shifts between the two players. It should work automatically when a DVD or VHS cassette is inserted and played, but if it isn't use the button.
